Dr. Besecker graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida in 2007.  He has invested significantly in continuing education since.  The most valuable training he has received is the Access Workshop where he learned to utilize his central autonomic nervous system’s responses to help detect his patient’s problems and guide their treatment with greater precision.

UNDERSTAND HOW WE CAN HELP YOU

WHAT DO WE DO?

Improve communication between the brain and the body.

HOW DO WE DO IT?

Identify specific areas in a patient’s body that are expressing abnormal nervous system activity, apply a gentle corrective force in the specific direction to release the tension on the involved nerves.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Dr. Besecker has been trained to consciously utilize part of the 95% of his nervous system that normally operates outside of conscious awareness to detect his patient’s problem(s) and direct their treatment.  This allows for deeper insight and helps to produce desired results more consistently.

This skill is perhaps best illustrated by the phenomenon of blind sight.   Discovered as early as WWI, there are neural pathways from the eyes to subconscious parts of the brain that enable a person who is totally blind to navigate around objects they can’t consciously “see” provided these neural pathways are intact.  The person has no conscious awareness of the objects and their impression is that they walked in a straight line.

There are other sensory pathways that operate in the subconscious parts of the brain.  These provide a vast amount of clinically important information that a doctor’s autonomic nervous system collects about a patient whether the doctor is aware of it or not.  Consciously accessing and using this additional information provides an opportunity for better patient outcomes.

And The Result Is…

Patients often say things like, “ ...that is the exact spot that is bothering me.”  Also, they will share after the fact that some seemingly unrelated symptoms they had been having suddenly got better during the course of their treatment.  We attribute this to restored communication between brain and body.
